Re: Virgo rising?
Mon, August 20, 2007 - 8:55 AMI can take a guess
It means that while, in being more consistent with your curious and explorative nature, most people only see a very analytical and practical expression when they first meet you.
The Gemini Sun represents the more real you, while the Virgo rising is what people first see when they meet you. Gemini and Virgo are kind of two sides of the same coin, that coin being Mercury (which rules both signs). So, when people first meet you, they will first think "wow, he is so serious and sharp. He noticed so many things about me right away" and as they get to know you a little it will shift towards "He is so much more fun and diverse. I didn't know someobody could know so many people". Then of course, you can also consider your moon's position, which indicates more learned behaviors and the non-conscious actions.
I hope that helps! -

If nothing is intercepted, your Moon in Leo could be in the 12th House, ruled by Pisces..... (this depends on what degree of Leo starts your 12th House.) Nevertheless, a Leo Moon would generally be expansive, generous, dramatic and theatrical!
Things to consider when interpreting your chart: The Sun's placement reflects your vitality/energy, the Moon's placement reflects your emotions/feelings and your Ascendant reflects your personality/self. Various planetary aspects (both natal and transitory) can impact and influence the interpretation of planetary placements. :)(: -

Fri, August 24, 2007 - 1:00 AMVery mercurial... seem like one kind of mercurial, but you're really the other. Could be confusing depending on how the initial meet goes. -

Sat, August 25, 2007 - 2:27 AMI'm already confused. What do you mean,"seems like one Mercurial but really the other" ?Could having such a strong Mercurial emphasis be negative? Mercury is the planet of intellect, right? :)

Re: Virgo rising?
Fri, November 30, 2007 - 12:29 PMI have a Virgo rising as well (Sun in Libra, moon in Aquarius).
Guys into astrology I meet out tend to guess me for a Virgo if they don't get my sun correct. I have mixed feelings about this as I have primarily had iffy experiences in dating Virgo suns, though I do have some wonderful Virgo friends. Generally I do hold a rather mixed opinion on the sign of Virgo in general, my least favorite self attributes are my Virgo tendencies.
I did want to note that I have had three boyfriends also with Virgo rising, dated a few others and am friends with a few more. I wonder if this placement in a male is some sort of indicator for same-sex attraction? Oh, and a Virgo rising would find it prudent to NEVER date another Virgo rising. Bad, bad, bad, bad, seriously. Bad. -

Re: Virgo rising?
Thu, February 7, 2008 - 4:03 AMDo you ever get the feeling that Virgo’s seem to be too soft spoken and a little odd? For me Virgo men have always seemed to be a little crazy. Where I’m a Gemini with Virgo rising there’s endless conversation and strong sexual attraction for a Virgo sun. Maybe its just the guy IDK but it always seems to follow the same pattern, great conversation, fantastic friendship ( little crazy but cool) and BAM. But I don’t think I could ever have a relationship with a Virgo, it would probably end with tears and anxiety. Yeah, I defiantly think virgo men have a crazy side that turns me on. I always seem to have an instant connection with Virgo as well. I could just meet a Virgo and 10 minutes later be having an in-depth conversation about everything and everyone. I’m like this with Aquarius too. Most of my closest friends have been Aquarius women and Virgo men. Oddly enough, my hottest flame has been with a Scorpio.

Re: Virgo rising?
Fri, November 30, 2007 - 7:50 PMI'm not an astrological expert Edward, but I think since Gemini and Virgo are both ruled by Mercury, perhaps that planet has a greater significance in your chart.
I have strong reactions (both positive and negative) to most people who are Virgos. My older brother is a Virgo sun, and although we can occasionally get along fine, we're completely different philosophically and just in terms of outlooks on life. Virgos frustrate and intrigue me all at the same time. I've had visceral reactions to people with that sun sign. I'm not really sure why, but there's probably more there than I know about.
I'm Aquarius sun and rising, Libra moon, but I have 8th house Virgo, and a lot of stuff going on there (moon conjunct Uranus, Pluto etc.)
It's strange...I think sometimes my frustration with some Virgo signs verges on sexual tension.
Peace, Bo -

Intelligent and frequently high levels of nervous energy characterize Mercury as it rules Virgo and ultra-precise communications are strongly featured amongst the Virgins. I've often gotten the impression that many Virgo's are care-givers, either Doctors, Nurses, Nutritionists, Scientists, etc. and as a result of their emphasis upon health and all health matters, they can become quite pestering and nagging about it. In addition, they are known for their analytical minds and their tendancy to carp about things until they are able to effect a change or drive the person receiving all the nagging and pestering into a full retreat!
On the other hand (my favourite Libran expression) Virgo is a mutable earth sign, so when new information arrives that might contradict previously known information, they will make a sudden change in their thinking to accomodate the new information, leaving us to wonder what all the previous fussing was about. There is a strong need/desire amongst Virgos to achieve order, synchronicity and they are always either in or about to enter their full-on, full-time, always thinking, state of analysis. This can become tedious and wearing on the nerves for others, but for Virgo's - it makes them happy!
Nothing would bother a Virgo more than to miss the latest news about something they really care about! In some cases quite a number of Virgo's could be accused of being OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) as a result of their constant thinking and analyzing things - but, this high level of intellectual vibration is par for the course for them and they cannot understand why all the rest of us are just not as concerned about things as they often are. Not all Virgo's arrange their lives so compulsively (all shirts on white hangers, facing left and all pants on blue hangers facing left and all socks folded perfectly, every single pair of shoes matched with their mate lined up, all underwear arranged by colour, style, and designer.... no other sign comes close to being so well organized! But, this high level of organization gives their critics lots of ammunition to use in order to drive neat and tidy, kinda finicky and picky, Virgo right to the edge of mess-induced madness!
Lastly, the placement of Mercury in your natal chart usually indicates how u communicate and how intelligent u are. Mercury cannot ever be more than about 45 Degrees ahead of or behind the Sun in a natal chart. Astrologers usually agree that the further ahead of the Sun Mercury is - the smarter one is. Being smart is great, but it's what u do with your intelligence that really determines your "smartness!" :)(:

Re: Virgo rising?
Tue, December 4, 2007 - 9:45 AMI think it draws much emphasis on mercury's qualities. Quick thinking, alert, silver tongue (ooohhh....) analytical, more brainy than emotional. Probably versatile. -

Re: Virgo rising?
Thu, February 7, 2008 - 4:16 AMI am versatile but that’s another story! @_@ jk I think I have the dual personalities of book worm and comedian. I am constantly trying to balance the two. But I think this comes more from my dual nature as Gemini or how I think people perceive me. I can defiantly tell I am influenced by mercury for no other reason than I am constantly interested in everything and I love people! -

With Pisces Ascending, that would put your sun in the 4th House, ruled by Cancer (if there are no interceptions, et.al.) So, would it be fair to call u a "very watery" Gemini? :)(:
